ESCORA

The Escora Corset Factory was founded in 1862 by Elias Schmidt in Coburg, Germany. Designing for the Ladies and Duchesses of the European courts, Escora corsets were hailed for their inventive style and Herr Schmidt's willingness to push the boundaries of what was thought possible in both design and engineering. Advancing into the post-WWl and post-corset world, Escora continued to produce revolutionary bra designs of expert craftsmanship with an increasingly erotic bent. In 1934, Gustav Schmidt was able to register his first patent: the 'shelf bra' whose popularity is still unbroken today.
